Founder
Dr. Viraj Pattapola (MD)
Founded on passion, driven by results
SMIT Academy was born from a desire to empower Sri Lankan youth living in Italy to pursue their academic dreams. Founded by Dr. Viraj Pattapola, a graduate of the University of Campania in Naples and a current Resident in Infectious and Tropical Diseases, SMIT Academy understands the challenges faced by international students navigating the Italian higher education system. Dr. Pattapola himself embarked on this journey by successfully passing the IMAT exam, granting him access to medical studies in Italy.
Leading the way
Dr. Pattapola’s own experience of navigating the IMAT and pursuing his medical education in Italy fuels his passion for helping others achieve similar success. His expertise and experience in the Italian medical field provide valuable insights that benefit SMIT Academy students.
